Hobby Lobby Finds

Recently my grandma has been a little obsessed with this particular yarn my mom and I got her from Hobby Lobby. Apparently it doesn’t giver her any allergic reaction and there is a wide range of colors available.

I had just gone to get her three rolls of yarn and she used them up already and asked me to get her more on my day off today.

I woke up around 9 am and was so disppointed in how late I woke up, I nearly threw in the towel and wanted to call it quits already before I even got out of bed. I strolled to the kitchen and from there my mom and I gave our smallest dog a bath. I started to feel better after a phone conversation with my boyfriend and decided to get dressed and go to the gym. I had a pretty good work out; I judge my work outs by how much I sweat and I was sweating profously so it must have been successful. On this topic, I have been thinking of documenting this new chapter since I think it will appeal to a lot of people and may offer some help/motivation.

I drove to Hobby Lobby all sweaty and gross, but I was feelin’ good. I got there and already my inner hoard came out. “I want this, and this, I need this. Oh and I have to get this for my mom.” I quickly snapped out of it as if I had passed out and someone was waving smelling salt in front of my nose to wake me up, except it was the burning smell coming from my wallet while I was warding off the cries from my bank account. I snatched an owl cup and put it in my bakset (during times of poverty, I use baskets to help maintain a reasonable amount of crap in my possession) and made a B line to the yarn section, walking slowly past the fabrics, then picking up my pace again.

After finding what I came to Hobby Lobby for, I “somehow” got distracted and wandered off. Two things: it is not difficult for me to get distracted and anyone amd everyone will find themselves wandering the store like a zombie off the Walking Dead set.

I love random art that I have no where to hang since I still live at home. Working in a furniture store with interior designers has caused me to constantly want to decorate my space…..but lack of space and money prevents me from really splurging. I am attracted to knick knacks, different accessories, unique wall art, pillows…pretty much everything. Anything you could want to DIY, create, recreate or use to spruce up your space can be found at Hobby Lobby. And they always have coupons and sales so it does help the already low prices. The one closest to my house doesn’t have much furniture, if any at all, but i do know they have furniture pieces such as chests, chairs, etc. at other locations.

Here are some pieces that caught my eye that I wanted to share. Enjoy! 🙂

Awww! How cute would those two be paired above a couple’s bed? I love how cheesey it is, but to me they’re a little small so it would be ideal for a smaller room. Actually, I love every piece in this photo. Gimme!

This is one of the framed pieces from the first photo…I love the colors and the frame and the font. It would be super cute in a card to your hunnie.

I love this one too! This could be so precious in a little baby’s room.

Seriously, anything with cute cartoon-y animals pulls at my heart strings. I literally would have NO use for these but I know I need them.

The world traveler-camper-wannabe extrovert in me is dying for these too, but yet again, no place to hang them. 😥

How majestic are these snow globes?! Okay, don’t kill me. It’s September and I am already looking for holiday decor. I already purchased an owl mug which has a new home on my desk at work. Don’t even get me started on Halloween decor. I am literally having a panic attack over all the things I know I am going to want (and shouldn’t but probably will buy) and soon will burst with pure excitement and joy.

Anyway, this was a little peak into some of the things I almost left the store with and wanted to share. Happy shopping!
